mike ,

this is friend and fellow T-TEN grad miss Faye Hadley ,

this particular tutorial video of hers is SPOT-ON what you need to review and take notes , she covers the smaller EFI size spec connectors and terminals and crimping and the whole 9 yards !
her techniques , i use many if too , as TOYOTA Taught us in Lecture and Lab ....
just take your time ,
measure 3 times and cut once is OK , and how i Roll often ....

i hope this helps ...

Interesting enough …

I felt the burning desire to address GHOST’s Distributor 4pin main Connectors same exact ones Faye is Mending above …

You may not be able to see it well but I use Color Coded Sharpie pens to denote where the color coded tracer wires come. From
And go old to new

I have one DEAD NUTZ personal rule and advise I never waver from Mike ,

Do only 1 wire at a time.

Never pull both out or more then 2 or more

that’s. A recipe for “ Catty-Wompus “ situation that i never want to get into never …

I try not to pull two wires out at once but my covers were completely gone with wires just hanging. There is a color difference in the two wires going to the efi water temp sensor. One black and one blue. Just need to figure out which is closer to the firewall .Thanks again.

the one closest to the fire wall mike would depend on the final rotation seated position of the green tip sensor , hence the CLOCKING of the plug itself ?

the wire color code terminal bay locations are dictated by the orientation Key-Way profile groove / high spot allowing the new plug to slide ONLY one way

dies this make sense ?

Ok let me put it another way. If you consider the metal clip the top, which I have but did a poor job of describing,Which wire is closest to the firewall black or blue? Thanks, Mike

No luck after attaching the clips in the plastic housing no small feat since the crimps have to be perfect,it would not attach. Looking at the old clips they look quite a bit different, more like a small alligator clip but not as adjustable. Had two others try figuring I might just not have the touch, unfortunately no luck. Thanks for trying. Mike

I’m starting to think a knuckle job is easier, and faster.

Mike ,

- do the sliver terminals i sent you with the new updated DENSO grey connector plug housing match the ones in the photo be EXACTLY ?

- my new ones are specific to the update connector housing and may NOT match the old ones you cut off .......? fyi
