What I did with that extra hole...
I bought an Autometer water temp gauge. The sender is too long to go in the tapped hole on the top of the head without an extension, so, I put the water temp sender in that hole. I cut a piece of heater hose a couple inches long, slid one end on the outlet that would go to the oilcooler, slid the sender in the other end, so that the tip of the sender was in the water flow, put a couple hose clamps on the hose and ran the wire into the dash gauge. No pics 'cause it's hard to see with it all in place. Killed two birds that way.
