Ran across this article of a family of four from So. Africa traveling the globe.

Water Matters

Good advice. I'm still on the fence for a Lifesaver jerry can.

A really good book about water in the desert (specifically our desert) is "Cadillac Desert" by Marc Reisner.
"Whiskey's for drinking, water's for fighting over"

oh crap, i didn't see the video but made an assumption and FAILED. Dude, I wouldn't let you get a Defender, having had unadulterated intimate experience with them in the past.....

The video is at the bottom of the page.
I got it from these guys during a Mud sale event.
Really, she watched it, and said “oh the children! Buy one!”
I didn’t argue.

It is a quality unit, and I feel better about camping with 1 wife and 2 daughters in NM. (Jeeze! Can they go through water!). I don’t know if I’m brave enough yet to try filtering the Rio De Las Vacas water...)

(Now if I can find a video with children being saved by an FJ62 with front and rear air lockers, a v-8 conversion with a 5 speed standard, I bet she would be onboard in a second!)

Sigh.

Cruise on!
