Has anyone used this type of water heater ih their trailer?Gas Tankless Units

L5 - Portable Tankless Unit

The portable tankless unit is an ideal unit for portable uses. It uses a standard garden hose adapter and fits right to a standard 10 pound grill tank. Perfect for emergency and cabin applications and works great with a 12 volt pump. Some of the other benefits include:

What do yu think about it? Does it work? Will it hold up if mounted in a trailer?

I just bought one and configured it with my own fittings, shower head, etc. This week will be the first use aside from testing in the garage, etc. I have or had several shower water heaters and/or heat exchangers and this one looks to be the most promising. I like it especially since it stops/starts itself based upon flow/no flow of water so you can use it direct as a shower. The other systems including the Zodi are better if you heat the water first then pump from the bucket for your shower. The L5 is designed to be able to skip this middle step. Just dial in the temp you want and shower; military/water conserving showers are just fine.

It do not think the L5 is intended to be hard mounted to your trailer; probably from a dust getting on the heat exchanger fins more than anything.

I have used mine a good deal. You do need good pressure to make it run. I have mounted mine in my truck on slide outs. I think for the money it is well worth it. I payed $119.00 at Sportsman's guide. JMTC
