Why does my washer motor constantly run when plugged in to harness either with or without key turned on or washer nozzle on! It's a new part. Bzzzzzzzzzz.... Loud without water

Washer motor is always powered. The wire to the wiper switch from the pump is hot. The circuit is complete at the wiper switch when you turn the knob and the switch provides the ground. Check the wire from the pump to the switch for an unintended ground.

The wiper switch it pretty simple/clever too - I recall it's kind of a metal washer with a square center hole and two bunny ears. Twisting the knob passes the ground from the switch chassis through one of the bunny ears to a contact, and handles the switched ground signal. I'll be curious what you find.. . unless the rotary spring is kaput, it's pretty failsafe.

(I hacked one up to make an OEM stealth cruise control momentary set switch)

Took it apart and cleaned the grout and regreased it. Still nothing. While installing it in the tight radio opening it buzzed and then stopped at different movements. Realized after looking and brain storming that the long flat brass rod that sticks out front and that makes contact to wash knob stem was bent down making contact the whole time keeping it on. Bent it up back to straight and now works perfectly!

Awesome job. I fixed my rear big heater today before my fingers got cold. Nothing beats success!
Learning every day! It is satisfying!! Now on to the reverse light switch and that should be it for electrical .... except waiting for my alternator to be rebuilt next week. NEXT

Looks more like a dog for a latch to me. Rorschach was a fruit cake, likely had mommy issues.
