Hello everyone

Quick question, just got a 91 FJ80 and was wondering if there was a warning beep or anything for keys in ignition or headlights on Etc.

Secondly I get no windshield wiper fluid is there a fuse and is it most likely that or pump or something else?

Thanks!!!

I remember reading on here that the headlight chime was only in certain years. My 94 has it.

Same here on fluid. Need to double check level first! How slow are your wipers?

Sorry I mean I have full fluid but it's not spraying

Do you hear the pump running but no spray??
Have you checked for pinched water line?
That happened to me, I can hear the pump but nothing comes out, only to find out That the line was pinched when I installed my ARB compressor.

I have a 93 and can definitely verify that there isn't a chime for headlights! My 3 year that loves to play in my cruiser taught me that valuable lesson a few days ago! As far as wiper fluid....have someone try to run it while you observe the motor under the hood. If you do not here anything....remove the motor and bench test it. If it works....you either have a wiring issue or a blown fuse. Best test is to check every single fuse anyway under the hood as well as all fuses under the headlight switch in the cabin.

All the pumps are running. Still worried about rear windshield sprayer but just brushed off the windshield sprayers and were good to go. Thanks everyone. Wish I could add the sensor/alarm for leaving headlights on lol.

Sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like you hadn't checked the fluid level, I was saying that I need to do that as I don't get spray on mine either. Of course, my wipers move so slow that I don't think it would do much anyhow.

in my '96, the headlights turn themselves off when I shut off the ignition.

Just wire in a piezo electric buzzer to the lights. I did it years ago on my FJ62 and it looks like I'll have to do it on my new-to-me FJ80.
Mine buzzes when the door opens (dome light switch completes the ground circuit) and the marker lights are on (+12v).
Just google for headlight warning buzzer. There are lots of options, pick one. Cheap and easy.
No more Radio Shack, so you'll have to search the internet for the buzzer or find something at the auto parts store.
I've experienced five different reasons for no washer fluid flow: blocked jets, pinched line, bad pump, broken hose (rear washer), and gelled fluid in the reservoir. Check switches, fuses, and wiring, too.

In regards to the after-market piezo buzzer install... I you-tubed it and found a couple of different ways to do it, and wanted to get opinions as to which way to go (for a '92) :

1. wire directly into to fuse panel, (+) to tail lights fuse, (-) to rear relay (not sure if this would work with a cruiser, might need to test some other fuses for workable (-) side with ignition off)

2. splice (+) into tail lights, splice (-) into door switch

Best option? Headlight chime is definitely a necessity. Got the buzzer on order from Amazon, $4 + free shipping
