Warn EVO VR 10S winch is wireless but doesnt work with the app (4 Viewers)

From what I am reading, even though it is wireless with the remote, I would need to install a wireless hub to use the phone app to control it, is that correct?

The app will connect to a Xenon Warn winch or a hub controller. Since it is already wireless, this seems to be a poor implementation

I can get my hand in the hole (see photos) to work the clutch, attaching the control cable would seem to be challenging if the batteries die. I haven't tried it yet, but it is tight getting my hand past the clutch. Guess I will need to carry fresh batteries and a small screwdriver in case the wireless remote batteries die.

It says if you install the hub, you should disconnect it or there will be battery drain. No comment on battery drain with the wireless remote.

I was thinking if installing the below Blue Sea Switch at a later date. I know some have installed the 300A switch but was concerned that wasn't big enough as the spec sheet says max 358 Amps

This is on my 2024 Tacoma

Any one dealt with this on this winch?

you could wire in a remote, remote plug. or in cab.

"Wireless" means it can run the remote without cable. I don't remember I've seen "wireless" in a context of the phone app.
