Warn 9.5xp will not free spool?

I have a warn 9.5xp I can't get the lever to turn all the way to make it free spool. it only goes half way. Winch works fine with remote both in and out. any suggestions

Call *Warn 800/543-9276 - Ask for Ron Hoffman x3031 or Augie: x3205. Both are very helpful.

I had a 9.5ti with a similar problem. My lever turned, but the drum would not freespool. Turned out water was coming in through the free spool lever and running inside. I had rust inside the case under the lever, inside the drum, and inside the motor casing. Augie sent me a replacement lever that had the washer glued in place, with extra sealant under the washer to prevent further water incursion. The winch had to be disassembled, derusted, and reassembled.

some times i have to move my drum a little bit by hand to get my winch to free spool and run it electronically to re-engage .

but i have a totally different animal then a warn 9.5xp .

sounds like you have it figured anyway .
