I just bought a used warn 8274 from a local guy $275 and it works really well BUT it's one of those things I really want to rebuild and make sure everything is just top notch before I rely on it. I have watched some great videos and feel pretty good about it but if anyone has any special tips I would be grateful.
I pulled the brake lever and the O rings were crusty hard so I'm guessing the rest will be the same. Before I buy any parts are there any vendors you guys have had good service from and any I should avoid?
Thanks Matt

Super easy rebuild I just did one. 1st time!! And I don't know anything as far as mechanical skills, or own any special tools. I called warn told them I was taking it apart to replace all gaskets/ bushings and seals and they sent me everything and included all new stickers. About 100 ish for everything if I remember right. Watch YouTube video on how to rebuild. Saved me lots of time. Have fun. Oh yeh I also got a synthetic 100ft line, and eBay for the selinoids way cheaper and they work fine.

In the middle of doing the same. Replacement seals arrived yesterday.

I called Warn and got no where is there a trick to getting a human? I filled out their on line form and home to get a response. Thanks for the responses mudders.

Sorry for the delay. Just saw this. Ordered mine from amazon. They carry several of the parts for the 8274.
