1. If I order the 6 HP motor (part #68608) can I still use the albright contactor?

2. If I use these 2 items, will the albright contactor fit under the "aluminum replacement solenoid cover"?

3. If I use the 2 items, will the albright contactor fit under the original solenoid cover?

If your 6 hp motor is the one from the 9.5XP winch, then yes (I didn't look up your part number).

Don't know; never tried it.

Yes, but it's a tight fit by the time you attach all the cables and control wires to the contactor. It took some fiddling to get mine under the stock plastic cover but it did fit.

Agreed. I turned my contactor sideways to make more room for the cables.

Here's what mine looks like under the cover, if this helps for any ideas:

1911-So that's a 5 wire controller?

It looks like you are running the middle ground through the ground leg of the the controller?

Nice winch rehab-I meant to say that in another thread.

I have a Runva Albright to maybe install just to mess with it. Original solenoid pack is working fine though.

Yes; I happened to have a modern 5-wire cover & plug in my shop, and there was more room under it (the plug is a lot shallower) than under the original cover and 4-wire plug that came with my 1978-build 8274.

Yes; it is not a high-current ground and it was convenient.

Thanks!
