Well I am starting to gather parts for rig and was wondering if anyone had the following for sale:

all for FJ60

ARB or equivalent Front and Rear bumpers- I have some feelers out to Jim at solid rock outdoors- I really like the clean look (no rear tire bracket etc) just stout. For the front I like the Bull bar.

I am looking for a good set of Fogs (prefer bright yellow with harness, fuse and switch)

Good price on OME 3" lift ( who has the best prices? ) Which is best setup?

I am little dismayed as the PO just called me and told me someone backed into the FJ (he took money off the price) doesnt look too bad- it is getting painted anyway. Still i am not happy.

I appreciate any offers/help.

You may want to hold off on OME Dakars. Seems to be some issues with a sleeve they are using. Check the 60's Tech Board . . . . Hellcreek is developing a 2.5 inch spring for the 60/62 and (your lucky day) I have the prototypes on my 62! While they haven't been priced yet, looks like about half the cost of OME.

That dent may be able to be rolled out or dent doctored as long as no crease.

Jim at SROR is a great guy. I have sliders somewhere in transit.

Its all good.

I really want to go 3"- I understand the truck is prob about 2" low due to sagging stockers, but I just love the look of a lifted 60. anybody elses lift you recommend that is available in the next few weeks?

I'm not in this hunt because, well, my truck doesn't need it.
But, here's my $0.02 anyway.
Think long and hard about not getting a swingaway rear tire carrier. You're not going to want that spare under your car when trailing. And you're not gonna want it inside. And you're not gonna want it on the roof.

This may not happen to you, but I bought my FJC with no intention of making a trail truck out of it and now that's almost all I use it for.
So for now, don't make decisions you'll have to reverse in the future.

Also, and knowing this is iconoclastic, OME is not the only girl in town, but she is the spendiest.
I was ridiculed for buying non-OME (I got Rough Country). I saved enough to buy a winch, and my ride is more comfy than stock and way more comfy than Emu.

Welcome to the madness.

Here's a pic of mine with the Hellcreek 2.5:

That looks real good david!! Any issues so far? I have been reading about the Dakkar and am hesitant to spend 1400.00 and hope I dont have issues- Do you think hellcreek will do 3"? Maybe 2.5 is all I really need- I just want quality that will last, I cant afford to waste money.

Buy the OME kit w/ 4 springs, 4 shackles, 4 spring pins, 4 shocks, a steering stabeliser and all new bushings and you will never have to worry about it for as long as you own you truck.

It is the ONLY way that we will install a lift on a 60 and also the only kit that we use.

I 'helped' install David's Hell Creek lift and was very impressed by the lift and will be even more impressed if it comes out cheaper than Dakar. I don't really have a dog in the fight but if I was installing a lift on David's 62 I would go Hell Creek, save the dough and buy a winch like Wild Bill did.

I don't have a dog in the fight either, and I've only been around for so long, but even I know that David Davis is NOT one to just throw some junk onto or into one of his vehicles or even anything else even remotely resembling his property. Get what YOU want as far as ride-height/capability and be picky about it; just be sure to think in terms of long-term practicality rather than the ever-too-common "damn I gotta have one-a-those!" short-term satisfaction. When you're drivin your truck w/ a BIG smile and you find your self saying constantly, "Man, I love this truck now", then no one's gonna look to see what name is on your springs, and you'll know how much it was worth it then. I was dead set on 4" lift myself, but the price difference for the same ride quality and comfort I have now is about $500-$700. That could be a Waeco, tools, a welder, winch, a rainy day..... And in the end, I'm still running the same size tires w/ my 3" kit as I would w/ a 4" kit. Good luck, at least you're doing lots of research.

Look at Alcan also for your springs.

Just a thought, have them on mine and love it.

Boy, this is all good advice! The thing is to just take it slow, kick the tires, drive other people's rigs (you're welcome to drive mine at Cullowhee).

I have ome on my 88 62, ride is great but I have nothing to compare it to, never had any articulation problems, or binding, or really anything, other than they have never seemed to put my vehic as high as others with other brand lifts of supposidly the same height
ie 2.5" lift mine seems lower
