Been looking around for a while and thought I throw what I'm looking for up here in case there is one out there I don't know about.
Looking for clean, rust free, well maintained, very original FJ62 for a daily driver. Needs to be a 62 because my wife can only drive an automatic.
Color doesn't matter. I'm in Atlanta but willing to look anywhere for the right one.
Budget is $8k to $10k
Thanks,
Mike

No association, but I was going to look at this one then ended up buying a different one before I had a chance.

I've got a very clean 1989 62 I might have to sell ironically because I'm moving to Atlanta and will have to start commuting. This is all happening very quickly so I don't have photos. PM me your email address and I will send you a bunch of photos this weekend when I get a chance.

The interior is a 9.5 and the exterior is a 8. Unfortunately I don't have much for service records as the PO didn't give me much. Oh, it has 240, 000 and has very little rust that I addressed with my limited skills. It does have a oil leak that I haven't addressed. It's a southern truck, it spent most if it's life in South Carolina.

Cheers.

Thanks for sending. I haven't seen this one. Looks like something is up with the hood but otherwise looks pretty good.

Ya, he posted on Sunday at 7950 then dropped Monday to 6950, so I'm guessing there is still room.

You don't by chance know anyone in that area that could look at it do you?
I'll be in Dallas in a week and a half and might check it while I'm somewhat in the area.

Might try one of the green coutry cruiser members. I'd volunteer, but I couldn't even find time to look at it for myself. :)

Needs to be a 62 because my wife can only drive an automatic.

Would she be willing to learn? 60s are good vehicles to learn to drive stick in due to the low gearing, torque at low RPM, and easy-shifting transmission.

I've been lobbying (unsuccessfully) to get her to try it. I've found a couple of 60s that would be perfect but she is determined to have an automatic. Thanks for the post.

Bummer. Good luck!

I have a 1988 62 that I'm ready to sell just north of Atlanta. No rust, clean interior. I changed seats to leather Accord seats, power driver's side and recovered the rear in the SOR leather/vinyl. It does have a lift and (new) 33's on it though. Paint is bad on hood and roof, but no rust. I can send pics if interested.

I have a 89 62 that I decided to sell: No rust, and very clean. I live in Atlanta. My price is slightly higher than your listed budget but I believe the vehicle is well worth it. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.
