unfortunatly i dont see a black box under the seat or red light with toyota security on it. i will talk to some of the local stereo shops to see what my options are. thanks for the tip though.
Look to see if you have a port installed alarm first. If you have a red light in the dash that says "Toyota security" or a black box under the drivers seat you have a port installed alarm. You can order a key fob and you have keyless entry. I paid about $60 for a fob, and I now have keyless entry.
'Hmmmm, sounds good. Would you please provide the vendor and part number please?
I was checking ebay and found an ebay store called Keyless ride.com and ordered it from them. You need to make sure you have the FCC code from your alarm.Hmmmm, sounds good. Would you please provide the vendor and part number please?
I used to own a car audio and alarm shop. At $350 you actually payed for the installation up front and they just tell you free installation. Those modules actually only cost them about $70-$80. Then they mark them up a little. The rest is all labor for installation. Don't get me wrong. That's the going rate for that alarm with those features installed. Its just Best Buys play on words. Most of those major stores do it.don't most alarms come with keyless entry ? I bought a python from best buy and had them install it(free). think it was around $350 it came with keyless entry but not remote start.
Look behind your dash on the drivers side, some of the alarm ECU's (boxes) are placed there. Here's another question, I've got the in dash Toyota security light but the box under the seat is gone. Any suggestions?
Thanks
