These two lights are always on. No other lights are on. I tried the "zero point calibration" to no avail, but jamming a paper clip into the OBD ports and trying to time it isn't exactly what I would call "precise", so take that with a grain of salt. I searched this but in the threads I found, most people also seem to have another third light on.

I have Carista but am unable to pull ABS codes. Shop did a quick scan and says an ABS sensor may be bad, but they wanted several hours worth of labor to "diagnose and calibrate" to confirm. I said no thanks. This is my beater truck. If an ABS sensor were bad, wouldn't the ABS light be on as well?

The vehicle has the air suspension removed, and the TEMS fuse pulled. Doesn't seem like those systems would need one another, but maybe? Putting the TEMS fuse in doesn't change the VSC lights.

Thanks

Just trying to help......when I first got my GX years ago, a new gas cap resolved my "christmas tree" lights on the dash. Yes, I do believe there were more than just the two lights than you've got illuminated but it's an inexpensive experiment to see if it solves your problem.

Do you have an OBD2 scan tool?

Lexus will also give you a free diagnosis if you drop it off..........up to you if you want to just drive away after they tell you what they think the problem/solution is.

No brake warning light. Might be just need zero point calibration. You can do this using paper clip. Google it or YouTube it.

Only higher end scanner can read BCM, ABS and SRS code.
You can buy VCI adapter and use techstream.

You can order a wifi or Bluetooth odb2 scanner on Amazon for like $22 and then use an app to connect via wifi or Bluetooth to read, clear, and monitor temps and more.

Some apps like car scanner give you 10 free reads. I purchased a lifetime license for like $7.

However, this usually works only if the check engine light comes on. Your picture doesn’t show a check engine light.

I have several of these, including a Carista. Haven't found one yet that can read ABS/chassis codes.

I have a used Dell coming in from Ebay ($125) and already have the Techstream software. Giving that a shot next.

Ok got techstream up and running.

I had the following codes;
C1335 steering wheel sensor
C1336 yaw yaw yaw something

Cleared the codes on techstream. C1335 doe snot go away. C1336 comes back after a trip around the block. The Steering angle data never changes from 1150, even at speed. I took it on a drive up to 40ish MPH.

I then took the steering wheel apart and unplugged the sensor, cycled ignition, plugged back in… no change.

Is this perhaps an actual bad steering sensor? 270k on this thing. edit: just found a used one on ebay for $50 so ordered it.

Welp, got a new steering angle sensor. Was a real PITA to get installed, as the one I found came off of an LC100. Same harness, but the GX's steering wheel adjustment "joystick" ties into the same connector on the GX, but apparently not on an LC100.

I had to destroy the old harness without breaking the pins on the joystick wires, then assemble them together. Could not get the pins out the right way.

Spent about 2 hours messing with this to find out that my C1335 code did not go away. I did a zero point calibration, drove it around for a bit and the steering angle reading did not move. It is stuck at 1150 no matter what.

What I did see on one screenshot taken, is the right rear ABS wheel sensor was reading "reverse" at low speed when others were reading "forward". Not sure if this is related, but since Techstream has all those sensors listed separately, I would expect a different code than what I got.

I've had no responses here so maybe I'm the first to have this issue?

Welp, not sure anyone gives a s*** but I replaced the ABS/VSC ECU and the issue persists. Pretty sure it's in the wiring. Nothing appears to be hacked up, but I did not pull the entire harness.

Does anyone know if the wiring going to thee steering wheel is completely separable from the rest of the vehicle harness? Or would this be a huge undertaking to try and replace?

Frankly I am tempted to just remove the light bulbs for the idiot lights and call it a ****ing day.

The steering column harness got to be separate. Otherwise it would be very difficult to assemble in factory.
The steering angle sensor is in CAN network. 100 series got different steering rack ratio. Is the part number the same? If they are not the same the software inside most likely programed different.

P/N was the same. It’s not reading at all, no value. Voltage from sensor is not present.

Not the same case I guess but just to show you my moral support ..

I fail to align my steering after panhard bar adjustment .. that lead me to VSC and now ABS on my VDJ76 series ..

Code I got was 1336 that was just Zero Point Calibration .. but after manage to get the Techstream up and running discover the process ( so far to me ) it's just to erase frame freeze data .. wich Techstream it's apparently not doing ..

now I'm stuck here ..
