I'm the 3rd Beta tester. I paid $75 for install as well. It took a little leg work to find a shop that would do the install with customer supplied film. Eventually I got the owner of one of the shops to look at the film. Now after the install, he wants to get some of this film for other customers with bronze colored tint.
Results from my install were great, even with a 36x40 sheet. There were a few crinkle in the sheet from the tube, but the installers did a great job working those out in the end. I can still see one or two little specs of where a crinkle was, but I have to really be looking.
From the outside, the color is a pretty close match. The Viper film has a little more bronze color in it, maybe. (It could be there is a bit of a thin film effect from the adhesive and soap water still curing causing a little extra bronzing sheen.) Still the installer said it was the best match he has been able to do for this kind of tint.
The inside is where it counts for me. The color match when looking out of the windows is great. The heat rejection in full sun was excellent too. The savings from not needing to run AC as much will probably pay for this mod in gas savings. (I don't tolerate heat well and run my AC from mid Spring to mid Fall.) I'm thinking about doing the windscreen next.
Thanks again Danny on sharing the find!
Here are a couple snaps, before and after. (Sorry I don't have the same orientation and lighting conditions, but with me and photography, ya get what ya pay for sometimes.)
