'99 Lexus LX470. I understand OEM hoods are discontinued and there are no aftermarket hoods. I found a used one (junkyard) for a staggering $1600. Another used hood for $550. I presume the junkyard market reflects the scarcity? Anyone had to source one lately?

$500-700 seems to be the going rate. Check the parting out section here. Most junkyards will negotiate on the price. Here's one on eBay for $500 plus tax, shipped. Also consider an LC hood if you ever wanted to switch it up for an LC front end.
