OK, I am one of the "beta testers" that Danny Noonan sent some of his tint to. Installed it today...turned out GREAT. The installer said it was the right amount of material, and was super easy to install (and he is a pro). Highly recommend this stuff, if you are lucky enough to get on the list. A great color match for my '99. Thanks Danny Noonan for taking the initiative and getting this film in bulk!

Big thumbs up.

How does one get on the list for this and how much are we looking at in american dollars?

Great to hear!

Update:
Dog had his installed per the above post using a 3' cut.
I had mine installed locally by a volume shop using a 3' cut.
El Cid got word from his installer that it was an inch too short on both windows. Not sure if it was eyeballed or actually cut. I've got a pm out to him to find out.

I think they use the two factory edges on the bottom of each window, so splitting the 40"x36" piece in half leaves the installer less than an inch of wiggle room.

Long story short, I'd hate to send this out and have a third of the guys that receive it end up at a shop that can't work with that little of a margin.

I see some 42" tubes online. If I picked those up, I could accommodate the 40" width in any length. Maybe a better idea to send them out 4' long?

Just my opinion Danny, but that would be wasting precious material. Like I posted, the 40" by 36" sheet you sent me covered both front windows (40" up and down, 36" side to side). If you really feel the need to allow for a little extra margin, go to 40" by 42". To go to four feet (i.e. 40x48) would be way overkill. In other words, for every 5 sheets you sold, you could cover a sixth pair of windows...

Just my opinion after installing yesterday.

I would agree with Dog that an extra 1' of material seems excessive. If the shop can't get it done with 42" then they are in the wrong business. 36" should be doable to a shop who is willing to take their time and 42" would make it a no-brainer.

I found this way back when I looked in to this stuff years ago:

Sounds like 40"x42" will be a winner. I ordered 25 42" shipping tubes last night. They should be here Friday. I hope to send out a large batch next week to those that have expressed interest. I'll put up a for sale thread in the vendor forum and notify the guys participating in this thread.

I'll go for a second round. I know where you live, Noonan:)

OK, I didn't major in Maths, but I do have graph paper. Looks like the 40" x 42" cut will give a descent margin of error for shops that can't hit it spot on with the 36" cut. Feel free to proof my work below.

I'll send you money regardless, might be a foreign currency, I've been on the road.

i went through this thread and pm's to create the list in the sales thread. The roll is pretty much gone. If anyone listed has changed their mind, please let me know so I can roll down to the next person. I'll shoot some PM's in case anyone isn't following this thread so long after it started. Please read the sales thread carefully regarding the risks of purchase.

Let's see some photos after you get it installed!

First batch of people who have paid go out tomorrow. I sent out pm's to everyone in this thread. If I don't hear back/receive payment by Thursday, I'm going to open up the rest for sale.

First batch is out! You should all receive it Wed-Thur according to the tracking. Let me know if anyone doesn't receive it and I can send along tracking numbers.
