Victory 4x4 or Prinsu roof rack?

I'd agree all the rack options discussed in this thread you can't go wrong with any of them. I've had my Prinsu for 5 years no regrets, no loose bolts, the powdercoating is starting to weather a bit with use but I expected it. I have zero complaints and can configure it to fit the trip we're planning. A few Land Cruiser buddies and I set off every Spring for a 9 day cross-country trip thousands of miles of gravel, forest roads and offroad trails and I've had no issues. I even use some Front Runner accessories on my Prinsu like their gas can holder and awning mounts. I've helped my nephew build out an 04 4R and he went with the Victory rack I can say they are very similar and if the name wasn't on it I would think it was a Prinsu. I do prefer the 4 mounts over the 3 mounts for the weight but so far he likes it and has no issues.
Ha! I also have Front Runner jerry can mounts on my non-Front Runner rack (2 single carriers). They are low profile and simple, I leave 1 on the rack all the time.

I enjoy my Prinsu rack but I will note that you need to be very mindful of the recommended torque specs if you're tightening any of the cross bar bolts. They shear heads off extremely easily. I've had to warranty 2 cross bars because of bolts shearing off inside the 80/20 while installing new accessories that required unbolting the ends. Both cross bars were warrantied quickly, so no complaints there, its just annoying that they are so prone to popping heads off their hardware.

I had a Prinsu rack and like it for carry my sup boards, Home Depot runs, etc. What I hated about it was removing the cross bars. If you forget to lay a towel down underneath the couple of crossbars when taking off/on to clean or to adjust, it falls on the roof since they are only held on by bolt. If I were to install a RTT, the Prinsu would worry me for its lack of potential strength, otherwise I liked it for its light weight and low profile design.

Also had to warranty cross bars for my Prinsu (3). Their hardware is garbage, you have to slather in anti-seize and thread locker. Like others mentioned, kind of lame how it attaches to the roof with water ingress risk and very it’s flimsy.
It’s a decent rack and I’ve gotten some good use from it, but looking back I should’ve spent that money elsewhere first. Would probably get an ARB base rack with a do-over.

I considered the Prinsu, but too many locals forewarned me of the issues with them. I inspected a couple of them on Tacos and rust everywhere. They said they rattle themselves loose on our forest roads.
I spent a little more and bought the ARB BASE RACK. A solid, we'll engineered quality rack system.
