Hi everyone, driving me a little crazy here. finally did a trip yesterday with the truck fully loaded, trunk plus cargo hitch full of stuff for a day on the beach. when gassing to 30-40 the car shakes a bit. I feel it mainly in the steering and a bit in the cabin. My wife didn't notice a thing and thinks its a result of an old 212k vehicle lol. I unloaded everything just now, drove around and bit and it wasn't as noticeable. Can't really tell at all. I got under it and tried to see if there was play in the U-joints, there was none, or maybe i wasn't doing it right. didn't notice any ruse in the zerk fittings either.

any ideas? i have an ome lift kit with heavy springs, 33" km3 tires.

Slowly dealing with the same. I replaced spark plugs yesterday to rule out any kind of misfiring, and greased all of the zerks on the DS and joints. The vibration was slightly better yesterday, but seems to have returned today. I'm thinking it would be DS related in my case as there's been some mileage for the grease to fling out.

I've also seen people mention rear control arm bushings as a source of vibration under load.

I have bad vibrations too but only when going 50+ and start accelerating and get around 3K RPM.
If I keep the RPM's down there are no vibrations.

Thinking it might be the front skid plate that has 2 broken bolts

Do you happen to have a clunk when cancelling and reseting the cruise control at around 50-60ish mph?

I had two misfires and replaced with denzos coils and know the sputtering all too well. The vibration feels driveline related from full stop to 30-40, regardless of rpm range. When we are up at cruising speed on the freeway, it’s normal and good.

No, I was using cruise quite a bit yesterday too.

I have a thunk when letting off the pedal then pressing down again. Driveshaft and u joints are greased so it’s not that, could be my transfer case.

Do you have aftermarket CV's? Mine had vibrations when accelerating after getting a bad CV put in at the dealer. I've since replaced both CV's and flanges with new oem and it drives smooth again.

I also think it could be the CV’s - worth a check if they have play at the hub flange (you can grab them from the inside by the knuckle).

Take care not to get rolled over by your car though:)

They are stock. I do get a clanking at full turn and moving. So it might be the CVs

I have a 4 year and an infant at home, wife gives me evil eye when I want to work on my truck. I might take to the shop to have ur diagnosed and resolved.

Also wanted to add that vibrations occur when gassed, when I let off it’s normal. Leads me to believe it’s probably not wheel or tire related. After 30-40 it’s normal, no shakes at all on the highway

Work on it when the kid is asleep, duh

i only have a driveway, tons of bugs out this time of year lol. i'll have to spray myself down and get a light under there.
Oh yeah. That sucks

What was the cause if your vibration?

The front was too high. I lowered it, had it aligned and it went away.
Interesting. I had dobinsons UCA's put on last week, raised the front about another 1/2-1" (hard to say since the front end was so sloppy) and now I've got a vibration coming out of the front during acceleration from a stop. While the UCA's were in the rear seal was replaced on the front diff as well. Perhaps something is out of balance there on my truck?
