Hi all.
Looking at a 99 LC with 109k. My concern is I did a carfax and autocheck and the miles show as follows
One owner
1999-0-14,700
2000- 31,086
2001- 43000
2003- 60638

Nothing again until 2012 when the original owner sold it with 106,000.

No other mentions of miles and the second owner is selling it not with only a few tho sand additional. I looked up the vin on Toyota's website and found no service mentions. Is the miles stored anywhere else? Is this seem ok?
Thanks

60k in 9 years doesn't seem to be out of the question to me. If it wasn't being registered during that time you could be looking at a vehicle that sat. If it idles smooth, doesn't leak, and doesn't have a rust problem I wouldn't worry too much.

Low mileage, either not driven much or short trips. The exhaust will rust on bottom from inside to outside with regular short (5 mile) trips. Also look at floor mats, brake and gas pedal wear. Base-line it if you buy, include timing belt & water pump (optional) replacement. Drive for 400,000 plus more miles and enjoy; just keep up the regular maintenance. It is a tank:cheers:

So I bought the truck. Thanks. As suggested the orginal owner started to use this as a second car at some point so the miles dropped. The person I bought it from bought it to build a trail truck and never got around to it so he sold it because it sat for a year or so. Actually replaced the exhaust as you said!

Thanks. Only issue is the first owner was a mechanic and serviced his trucks on his own, so no real service history on the vin.

Thanks again

I'd rather have this than a bunch of Jiffy Lube receipts!

Yea but you get free popcorn at Jiffy Lube!!!

Cody - how bought posting some photos of the new truck?
