VDJ79R rear brakes dragging (1 Viewer)

My 2008 vdj79r v8 which i am the second owner ,started to have problems with rear brakes dragging .After replacing the brake pads,caliper seals it was tracked to the rear load sensor valve with no fluid traveling either way to rear wheels or returning .After playing around with the valve we still didn't get it working .So we ordered a new one .it arrived today and i can blow with some resistance between each of the ports which on the old one i carn't .After taking the new one apart it is totally different to the one on the vehicle which was green in colour which makes me think it was second hand or off a different vehicle .So shortly we will bleed them and see if it is all good.

Hi mate. The green LSPV is factory original. Its rare to see one of the fail, maybe someone used dot 4 in brake system. Use only dot 3 brake fluid in the braking system. Dot 4 can cause the seals to swell and fail.

Well,well you hit the nail on the head .i did use dot 4 which has made the master cylinder seals swell and they have failed.i have some photos i will upload shortly

I have been using DOT4 in my 80 series without any issue for almost 4 years now ..
