I found an advertisement about the vapor trapper @ vapor trapper.com reading through my Hagerty magazine.
Anyone ever heard of this and or tried something similar? Seems promising - only thing it really does is make that classic car carbureted engine fuel-smell less.

So what is it with charcoal canisters lately, on old trucks. This is like the 3rd posting in so many weeks to install a de-stinkerator…... Is the smell of gas and oil that offensive. I think it’s part of the endearing charm and character of old FJ40’s to have that familiar, automotive odor…..brings back those fond memories of 30 cents a gallon gas, spending all weekend wrenching on your rig….just so you could get to work on Monday.

If your rig came with a canister, keep it and maintain it. It you have a vintage ride that vents to the environment…..let it vent, it’s a part of history and something NOT to be ashamed of.

Be Good my Land Cruiser friends.

I hear y’all trust me - it’s not that offensive to me but I’m in California where it’s unappreciated. Just saw an advertisement and thought I’d ask about it.
My charcoal canister was ripped out by PO so I didn’t know my rig should already have one

With my emissions system out, is it still possible to install my charcoal canister and have it do its job - or do I need most of that system to make it work.
I see a line coming from my fuel separator but then i see line to a vcv as well as a vacuum line to my intake exhaust… just talking out loud wondering if someone can leave that and have it function without the emissions system. I do have 90% of the emissions system parts in my garage

Seriously? You can find that and more from a different manufacturer.
There are two or three Toyota components that you'll need. The liquid/vapor separator, and the 'gas filter' that is the emissions inlet. There are like three chambers that get vented on the tank, so there is also a factory manifold to connect them all. I'm not advising you to modify your system, but, if you can't reinstall working Toyota-factory components, there are options. So...
