I just got my intake manifold removed and want to replace all the skinny vacuum hoses under there while I have it off.. Does anyone sell a KIT?, I went to Toyota and they were going to order all those hoses separately - also there is a valve on there that costs 99$ is that something I should replace now... or does it not typically fail?
There are also some larger hoses that are for fuel vapor that are up under there. Check them for cracks or hardness and order them as well. I ended up replacing all the rubber under there and it cost more than I wanted it to (what doesn't?) but I know it is all new now. A couple of the bigger hoses are cut to length, and if you know this ahead of time, you don't have to order all of them as "what you cut off over here will fit over there". I don't recall which was which though, so YMMV.
For the vacuum hoses, you could also visit your local dealer who will have 3 sizes in bulk. I would get about 6 feet of the medium diameter and a foot of the larger diameter hose and then cut them all to length. They usually go for about a buck a foot.
I just mine and ordered the stock hose length that Beno suggested, but found that I could get something similar at the local dealer and if I did not get enough, which I didn't, I could get more very easily.
Good luck and have fun scrubbing that intake manifold. Mine took days to clean out! Nasty!
