I'm mating a 5.7L Vortec to an SM465. Currently I have an F-engine/SM465/Cruiser t-case. I will be using the same tranny/t-case with the V8. I know there has to be guys who have done this before.
How far forward did you have to move the 465/t-case for the V8 to clear the firewall?
