Uwharrie Work Day + Range Trip - June 21

The plan is to meet at HUNT CAMP at 0900 as we usually do and we will break off from there into whatever groups are needed / where you would like to go. Please remember this is a workday not a just ride the trails day and do nothing. We are needed there to try and fix all the stuff that others create.

Hunt camp is just down from the Eldorado Outpost and is easy to find. I should be up there by 0730 hrs at the Outpost so look for some guy in a red FJ62 drinking coffee or an energy drink by then. Bring lots of water / drinks. Also bring something for bugs. Esp ticks right now. they are bad out there.

Eldorado at about 8 is what I'm shooting for.

@SeanLX , what are you bringing in terms of boom sticks? I was just going to bring my rifle. I'll bring plenty of cartridges and some targets so you can burn through some if you'd like!
 
I plan to come play too.....sadly one of my sidearms broke on fathers day, the front loop on the slide sheared off beneath the barrel. luckily it broke apart before I could chamber another round, so no injuries....looks like a very good tig welder could fix it...seeyaz on Saturday
 
I'll be at Arrowhead Campground Friday night so it shouldn't be a problem to make it to the outpost early.

Not sure yet what I'll bring but I'm looking forward to checking out the new range.

I'm not gonna be able to camp this time around. I need to get my butt in gear and get shocks on my rig!
 
I'm out... Have to go into work for an a.m. Meeting which would put my arrival time at uwharrie at 11am.

How many miles have you put on that 40 in the past 40 years? I wonder how that compares to the mileage I've put on moonshine :D

do we need to bring our own target stands? I imagine paper targets will be available at the outpost, maybe?

From being out there today we can now answer more questions for anyone looking for answers.

Yes they have stands and targets out there on the range. They also have ear / eye pro on site . You can bring anything from a 50 beowolf and smaller . Certain days will be set aside for full auto for the lucky ones. Also you can fire with your cans as long as you bring your paperwork.
 
Sorry I couldn't make it out there this weekend but sounds like a lot of accomplished. Most of you may have seen pictures of our weekend on my facebook so I will post some on Mike's behalf.
