Meeting at Cottonwood Canyon Road at 0 dark 30 (6:30 am) on Saturday 4-30-05 for a nice jaunt up through Lower or Upper Ajax. Maybe a backwards run through Middle Woodpecker on the way out. Actual trails will depend on quantity and type of vehicles that show up. If enough trucks show, we can split the group. I have lead stock S-10 Chev's and Tacoma's through Lower Ajax without incident. I would recommend at least sliders and a rear locker for Upper Ajax although we took a stock Heep YJ through once on a night run with minimal belly scraping. I have not been out to run either of these trails since our big rains earlier in the year and therefore cannot report exact trail conditions. I will be posting this run on another board that I frequent so there will deffinately be a couiple of non-toy's on the trail with us.

Sounds pretty good... pencil me in.

Birfield repack on the board for that day! Maybe next time.

One thing I can personally attest to is that John (Offroader5) is a great spotter. The only times I've ever done damage to my rig or gotten in a bad spot was when I was listening to another spotter or was in a hurry and not paying attention to his instructions. I've never seen him put anyone in a predicament that resulted in damage.

So Bman, do you have an idea how many rigs may be joining you?

Not yet. I know that there will be 2 Heeps and a Bronco as of right now. My own participation is actually in question as of this writing but John(offroader5) will be there and he is more than capable of leading this trail.

I think I'll be dragging myself and one of my Jeep pals along, but we may catch up to the group. I'm not sure I can actually pry my Son and his best friend out of bed early enough to get there by 6:30 Why so freakin early? :crybaby:

How's it look now, think you'll be attending your own run? :flipoff2:

O-dark thirty start times allow for long days when things go badly. This run was actually set up for my cousin to be his shakedown on his 72 bronco, so we were planning on issues. The first time out he tried to burn his tuck down with hokey assed wiring and the second time it was a leaking fuel pump causing fire fear issues. I posted it here so that those who would like to join us can come out to have some fun. We'll probably run Lower first for the shakedown then proceed to Upper for the real fun. If you get a late start that's cool cause you'd prolly end up catching us towards the end of Lower.

I'm still questionable for this run as of right now but am hoping to appease the boss by Friday. I'd like to bring my daughter out on this one cause it's been a while since she's gone wheelin with me.

Channel 4 first, 8 second, 12 third. Depends on radio traffic in the area.

count me out... turns out I have to work. Clients demading too much of my time... sucks to work for yourself...

Have fun!

:crybaby:

So, can I assume from this that you'll be attending your own event after all? :grinpimp:

Update: Evidence of foolishness

I had fun. Even if the host's brother made him an hour late. :o And in spite of the host knocking vital parts of his rig and cutting our day short.
Here's my photographic dirt.
And tell John I want a picture of my wheelie when he gets a chance!

Our dauntless leader trying to break something before we even get started.
