I need to get a UK Cruiser as my left arm is tan and my right arm is pasty white.
Jim what does your owners manual what visc. oil to use at different temps? In US it is 10w30 for over 0 F -18c and 5w30 for below 50f 10c for my 94fzj80.
In AU they show heaver W oils for summer. The US vehicles need ES lable on oil ti meet CAFA standerds.

Kurt, for better overall tanning try opening the sunroof.

Possible explanations for puzzling Oz oil weight discrepency

-It's hot in Australia in the summer

-they have summer in the winter

-their oil rotates counterclockwise when draining

-they drive on the left side of the road

-they drive like australians

My FSM is the US variety due to UK dealers being unable to get me one. My UK Haynes manual says use SAE 5W-30 for temps -29c to +38c OR for -18c to +38c SAE 10W-30

Thankfully sunburn is not a problem for those of us that live where the sun don't shine.

Hope this helps

Cheers, Jim

-It's hot in Australia in the summer - Very rare to go above 45 Celcius

-they have summer in the winter - I wish

-their oil rotates counterclockwise when draining  :D

-they drive on the left side of the road  :)

-they drive like australians - What's that mean?  It better be good :slap:

Dad Has always used Castrol GTX 2 20W/50 in FZJ80R and in Melbourne it can get below 5 Celcius .
