She also was adamant that I buy a used roof rack from a local or she was gonna buy it for me... Just needs some rework and paint. Pretty heavy dugh rack

What did you make your fairlead out of?

Nice machine work! I bought my Cruiser as a project out of Pocatello and now my wife refers to it as her Cruiser! My daughter says she doesn’t want to finish it because she likes working on it so much. Gotta love it!

Currently im way over geared with 5.29 gears on 33's so they cruiser is limited which drives my w wife crazy but it will prove itself soon when I get new tires on and we have some fun drives

Still need to do some work o n the double deadlocks, lost motivation on them. For now, trying to sell them so I can just buy some 17" wheels and 35's

I got a set of 4 nice tire chains from a buddy for 35's and if we get a small camp trailer I think I will be better off with 5.29 gears on 35's.

Another possibility is get some aluminum 16.5 wheels and just run my 37's....

I've got some 38" TSL radials down in WY(where I'm originally from) and those would go better with your 5.29s I'm thinking ;) they're on 17" Weld 8 lug wheels though, so you'd need some new wheels.

How good of shape are they in? My wife might kill me if I make it even taller haha.

Also adding to the to do list, or moreso reminding myself ;
- Speedo sensor seal
- extended brake lines
- extended ARB breathers
- differential fluid change
- inner axle seal and new grease

I don’t know if you are aware but, besides the o-ring on the outside, there is a small seal inside the speed sensor that is usually the one allowing oil past.

I didn't know that, sense I already have the O-ring from Toyota I'll start with that

So there is apparently a lot of oily residue inside of military tires. You can see how the balance beads basically spread out throughout the tire. Also that PVC insert can be a pain to remove but I found a slick way with a hilift and a shovel!

Had my truck break down going on a picnic with my wife, both kids, and both dogs. Going up a canyon with no cell service. Found the little present from one of the previous owners, fusible link was jimmy rigged and I hadn't noticed it. But $15 later and a few days it started right up.

Fixed t-case leak fixed with new O ring on the Speedo sensor. Also working on a trade to get different 37's and locking hubs. In progress on the roof rack as well.
