I would like to thank everyone who made this event a great time for all of us. Everyone I talked to had a great time. I don't have any pics, but know that there were a bunch taken, so hopefully we'll see some soon. A few thank yous to Josh, Drew, Lenny, Juice, Marshall, Eric, Richard, and Nick for spotting me during the day and for helping us try to figure out how to get Eric home.

Even our poor buddy Eric, who broke his outer hub, removed his front driveshaft, and then broke something in his transfer case, making his truck inoperable. He then drove back to Auburn Sat. Night, drove back today, and was supposed to pick his truck up around Noon today. Hopefully, he'll post up when he gets some sleep and figures out what is wrong.

What a long strange (2) trips it's been! Home, tired, but Cattywampus is home too, so no worries! Thanks for an absolute great time! My brother loved it as well.
Love me some MLK runs, this was no exception!
I sheered off my passenger hub flange, maybe even broke the birf. I dropped my front drive shaft because of Full-time 4wd, and tried limping back up to parking lot, when it seems my transfer case output shaft gave way and now have no gears. It is going in gear but grrrrs violently in all gears H or L.... time for that nice Marks Gear to double up my Low range.
Came back to get dragr1 one's tow rig and trailer and went back this morning, loaded up and just got back an hour ago.
I'll tear into the multiple issues later this week.

See ya'll soon!

Eric glad to see your back safe. Sorry for all the trouble.

What was the deal with the possibility of a second 80 that had been rolled? What's the story on that?

Glad to hear that you made the trips alright. I wish there was more that we could have done to help you. Will definitely be something we think about for the future. Keep us posted on the diagnosis of Cattywampus.

The rolled 80 was located literally about 5 minutes off Exit 32 I-85. It should have been described as rolled, rolled, rolled, tumbled, rolled.... not 5 inches of a straight panel on it. All windows busted. 1993 cloth interior, full float rear, no lockers.
He doesn't want it picked apart, but rather, entirely bought for $1000. The engine supposedly runs, so the engine, trans, axles may still be worth it.

If anyone is interested the LC guys are at the Gulches today. Just got through talking with Ron. He said it's him and another vehicle. Said the park is empty. Which could be a good thing.

If anyone is interested going out there send me a PM and I'll give you his phone #.

Who got that flex?

Very nice pics Eric! Thanks for getting some of me flexing that OME out. Also, thanks for the pics of the Catty up on the trailer. Glad to know that you got it back home...

Stuff much?

why does it look so dry for you guys....did the little bit of rain on Sunday make that much of a difference????? WOW....

SKIP was talking about the cherokee that got flipped on trail 11....said the guy that flipped it was actually test driving it to buy. LMMFAO....

We made it out of the pit of no return known as THE GULCHES after 1cm of rain fell Sunday morning.....LOL...what a mess it was today. But still fun as hell....

Thanks for the call and offer Marshall...

Well, I never did post up but we ALL had an amazing time Saturday. I didn't realize just how long it had actually been since the last time I had wheeled. This was Callie's first time and she even got a chance to drive. She LOVED IT and is already buggin me about when the next trip is. I suffered a bit of body damage on my rocker panels probly due to my trigger-happy and wheelin'-deprived right foot making connection w/ the skinny-pedal. I was a little rougher on the Jeep than normal, but we still drove home and no one got hurt. That's just a bit more encouragement to finish my sliders before the Plantation next month, now that I have a welder. Thank you all for a wonderful time and being such great people. I wish I could have had a little more time to socialize a bit but it was good to see you all.

I also wanted to thank Carp and all of Upstate for a great ride this past weekend. It was nice meeting everyone and I look forward to more rides in the future.

Nick

Thanks for a great time!

I would have posted something sooner but I have been too busy looking for a suspension lift and some mud tires! My best four-wheelin' buddy Mike and I had a GREAT time and look forward to doing it again. Thanks for the invite and it was a pleasure to meet all of you. I am a little disappointed though, that I didn't break anything or even get stuck! Dang Land Cruiser! J/K of course. Thanks again, Stu
