And a v8 in the Dent is gonna be a bunch of time and $$$$.

yeah but i bet it would come out just a cheap as rebuilding the 2f. Besides i am not in a hurry.
 
SCDNR did not bring them in to control the white-tail population. They were brought in during the 1970's by houndsmen.

a diesel is the only way to go!

GM 6.2 is easier and cheaper to swap than an EFI V8. also better fuel mileage.

no wiring other than a kill switch and an alt!

They can be found for less than $600.

Thats not too many coyote! Find a used SBC to LC adapter for less than $300! That's only 2 more coyote!
 
woa woa woa people. I have one bad weekend in the mud and everyone wants to rebuild the dent. I'm gonna work with what i got then make a decision later on the motor. Even if the 2f needs replaced it would take up to a year for me to get the $$ and parts together.

Good call. Swaps and rebuilds arent cheap. Let me know when you start wrenching. I'll try to give you a hand.

Everyone already calls it a Jeep, might as well trade it for one.
 
I have driven the 4 door JK's. Peace of crap. The old TJ's and Unlimited is the only thing I would consider. The JK is a fat, heavy, underpowered, poorly engineered truck. My 40 drove better down the interstate than my Mom's new JK 4d 4wd.
