Very nice!! I’m assuming those are 33s? I’ve been doing a ton of reading and I assume most people are running 33s.
Dang, awesome!Longtime Toyota guy, and no stranger to imported oddball vehicles. I haven’t had a 4x4 in a long time, and I’m excited to be back!
After months of searching for LHD manual shorty with no rust, I just bought my first Cruiser, a 1986 BJ70. Originally European-market, LHD, manual transmission, hardtop, 24-volt, mostly stock except the 13BT turbo and aftermarket EGT. Had a full frame-off restoration in 2016-2017.
I’m located in Portland, OR. The truck is in Arizona. I’m doing a fly and drive to bring it home next week; super excited!

Is that a BJ70 or a BJ71?
Thanks to all for the warm welcome, and yes, it would be fun to get together. I may start working on something once I am back in town. The truck is a BJ70. The original 3B got a turbo upgrade using parts from a 13B-T.Yes!
Congrats! Hope to see it next year at Roundup!I just bought this HZJ-73 here on mud from a friend and dealer of 70 series trucks @joekatana . My wife and I flew to Texas and Joe picked us up. We took a mini vacation and drove back to Michigan in it. This will be a summer daily driver for my wife (I she can get the keys from me!). Lots of big plans for it. It is in solid shape but due for baselining and such. I already am making it the way I have always wanted and I have been home 3 days!
