I just welcomed a new Prado to the family... drove it home from Port of Los Angeles yesterday. Really clean condition - 149K km, fresh timing belt, new tires, and maintenance appears to have been well done (super clean coolant, cooling system hoses look fresh, etc). First step is a replacement of all fluids and filters then converting the stereo to US spec. I haven't even washed it yet and it looks good!

I think my favorite part is the "Party" decal on the left barn door. I'm wondering if I bought this from a Japanese swinger or something. Maybe I'll leave it and see who honks at me on the road...

I just picked up this 1994 LC Prado KZJ78 SX from a gentleman near me in Denver. I’m super stoked on this truck! I have plans to replace my LX470 with it, as I wanted something with a solid front axle and smaller dimensions/weight to hit tight and potentially gnarlier trails. I’ve already learned a ton from reading this section of the forum and hope to contribute knowledge I gain along the way to the community!

I am having auto hub lock issues as is a problematic issue with prado's of that Era. So I will be swapping in manual hub locks .I want to add a rear locker ,let me know what you come up with for brands and cost -

Longtime Toyota guy, and no stranger to imported oddball vehicles. I haven’t had a 4x4 in a long time, and I’m excited to be back!

After months of searching for LHD manual shorty with no rust, I just bought my first Cruiser, a 1986 BJ70. Originally European-market, LHD, manual transmission, hardtop, 24-volt, mostly stock except the 13BT turbo and aftermarket EGT. Had a full frame-off restoration in 2016-2017.

I’m located in Portland, OR. The truck is in Arizona. I’m doing a fly and drive to bring it home next week; super excited!

There's a couple of friendly persons down in your area, and I'm about two hours north of you; let's catch up sometime! And you're gonna love that first big drive; savor every second of it. 👍👍

Nice score! Safe travels

Portland area guy too. A PNW 70 series meet and greet would be sweet.

Is that a BJ70 or a BJ71?

I just bought this HZJ-73 here on mud from a friend and dealer of 70 series trucks @joekatana . My wife and I flew to Texas and Joe picked us up. We took a mini vacation and drove back to Michigan in it. This will be a summer daily driver for my wife (I she can get the keys from me!). Lots of big plans for it. It is in solid shape but due for baselining and such. I already am making it the way I have always wanted and I have been home 3 days!

How it sits today after 3 days of messing with it.
