and wear quickly
I found the same with BStone 693. I guess the grippier they are the quicker they wear.
I found these types good on the road but useless in sand

Here is my take on tires......

Although not a real off roader I spend a lot of time riding my mountain bike and from this I have expeirenced what works in the wet, mud, wed slippery rooots.

AS a rule of thumb, the gooy fast wearing tires worked best, I would happily shod a set of these and forgo the wear and have the quick wear.

Also to mention, the heavey sidewalls save the tubes and are worth the weight on a mountain bike. Last year I tried to lighten things up and it bit me in the ass big time at Whistler.

But................... this is just my opinion.

When I bought my 80 wagon it was fitted with geolander a/t tyres.Several times on the way home I actually pulled up and had to check the diff and transmission because of the noise these tyres made on some surfaces. The bolcks on the tread are worn uneven and at different angels even though they are still at app50% I am at a loss to understand this as its not located to sections on the tyre that crook shocks or wheel alignment would cause. The only other tyres I have seen this on were posi-traction. The bridgestone 693 on the same vehicle are quiet on any surface [ less agressive tread] but turn in and brakeing is so much better. They suit the dynamics of the 80 chassie much better. They were on my 75 beforehand and seemed good here also though were only used on the blacktop, gravel and dirt.I took them off the 75 when I fitted Maxxi Buckshot's which are very quiet for such a tread pattern. No one sits very close behind on the gravel with these.LOL.

actually i have experienced the same weird wear pattern on a few sets of Geolanders that have come in, the alignment showed no problems but the wear was there...
don't get me wrong Rob, i like the Geos but the wear made them not practical for myself. it is the same with the old style Kumo mud tires, my first set lasted YEARS of highway and abuse, the new generation melted in less than a year... i wasn't impressed...

hey guys im running bfg pro comp all terrains , 35x12.5 on 15 sunrais '' rims
,i have small lift and they never scrape on any part of the guard but i have had to turn around the front leaf spring to keep the tyres further forward , if i was doing it all again i would get a set of 75 series factory guard flares 33' pro comp extreme all terrains minimizes the work and keeps mr police happy and throw them on 80 series rims 16x8
