3fe on a wagon... I've played that game for 16 years... its time...
Yeah, you have room to lay the entire DT in the 80. 40 not so much

Dude installed one in a 40. Rear ds was short. But it worked. Search uzj40.

Someone has done it. I'm sure. But pandora's box gets going pretty quick

I came across this thread a while back when I was researching my own swap.

Such a nice build! He sold it too cheap
LoL even Christo Slee was posting in the thread asking technical questions about the 2UZ swap.
I did not see how the transfer case shifter came in. Maybe it's a button?

This is exactly what I wanna do.. 40 on a TJ frame with a 2UZ.

What's wrong with the 40 frame?

I'm curious about this as well. All I can figure is that Jeep's coils are set up for the 40's similar weight much better than the 80's.

Yes. It’s appealing for a few reasons. A few random thoughts off the top of my head....

1. Using a frame that is set up for a 4 link that has a ton of aftermarket support.

2.I haven’t seen this done yet so the thought of doing something outside the box to create conversation is something I can get behind.

3.Leaf springs are simple and they work but they are lacking in comfort on a short wheel base vehicles. The TJ ride is much improved.

I’m currently trying to locate the doner 40 to start the process on.

If you haven't driven/rode in a SOA 40, you should try it first.

Yeah, he used a linear actuator controlled with a 3 button pad. Pretty clean.
