My probe is probably not deep enough, i will check to correct this, not sure how it would effect temperature reading tho
Many congrats.
My 42 only lands in about 3.5 weeks but I am already trying to source a 13 BT manifold, although they are very scarce here.
Definitely check that. I've had problems with probes creeping back out of the fitting they're in, the reading gets colder and colder.
It's well worth shifting the probe to before the turbo if you can.
Eric .. congats .. !
I just push my turbo up to 14 PSI, more up in the rpm range .. just I can drive at virtualy no boost under 2K rpm if I want .. but have all 14 PSI available when I want .. and it's wonderfull !
Did your turbo glide wategate have any kind of adjust ?
Nope, dont touch that, you can preload it so that there is more tension on it and wont open as quickly, but don't do it.
If you want to adjust your boost - buy a turbosmart manual boost controller (i have one here if you want it), it just connects mid way in the small rubber tubing between the wastegate actuator and the compressor housing. Then you turn a small dial to give you more boost - it is just a ball and spring mechanism that allows pressure from the compressor to relieve - so the wastegate doesn't open as quickly.
I am running 14 pounds boost now through my intercooler.
Louis, what woudl tell you that you need a intercooler, EGT temps way to high?

My personal opinion after planty of reading in the internet ( maybe wrong ) it's intercooled it if you are planing to reach 14 PSI or go over ..
Why not . ?
Actually I try disconecting my wategate hose and adjusting manually ( as AXT indicated in some kits that I already installed in TD42 Patrols and 3.0 Frontiers ) it to get more boost more sooner
I notice my pressure seems to have drop a bit, a needle width. Something to worry? Should i use some other kind of oil now?
So if i pinch the hose from the turbo to the waste actuator, i'm going to be unlimited?
The pressure that come from your compresor runs throught the hose to the wategate " bottle " and then with specific pressure it more the actuator in your turbine side .. allowing exhaust flow " escape " without move your turbine side .. it of course limit your turbo capability to produce more boost ..
I would think it closes gradually the outlet of the turbo (exhaust) therefore reduce flow rate, consequently reduce turbine output.
