Hi Folks,
I have a 2000 Tundra 4.7L V8. 277k miles.
This afternoon while making a 5 mile round trip to gym my engine began running rough. I was stopped at a light and than began to accelerate and it felt like I was on a washboard Road. I made it to gym and popped hood and I hear a pinging/clinking noise coming from the engine block. It seems to idle rough, but after i start going 15 to 25 mph it’s more smooth.
No check engine lights came on.
Engine oil level is fine. Any ideas on what this pinging noise could be. I’m going to get a video in the morning.
Thank you in advance for any input anyone can give me & ideas on what my issue is.
