Both the stock Tundra brakes and the 16' and newer landcruiser option will work with 17" rims.
The rock warriors were an option for the tundra and fit on the newer cruisers.
Yah the tundra brakes will work just fine with the 17 in RW wheels, to your second question my guess would be a Toyota dealership would not touch this, but that's just my guess...Hi, I have a 2013 with the Rock Warrior wheels.

2) In order to do this upgrade, does anyone know if I can just go to Toyota and request the new brake system for my 2013? Or is one of those things that they won't do? I honestly would prefer to do this myself but I don't have many tools and since this is my wife's primary car that she drives my kids around with, I'd rather have the pros do it.

Are you looking for cruiser calipers or tundra. There are other parts that have to be changed out to swap from cruiser to tundra
i'm in desparate need of a front caliper/rotor and front pads. After riding on Stop Tech drilled rotors+TRD pads for the past 9 months I discovered today that my front rotor was cracked (along with a bad front caliper; 2 upper piston orings blown outon rt front caliper), while doing a wheel ballance. good times... My question if anyone can help me is while shopping for front calipers+rotors, will Tundra TRD calipers+rotors fit my 08' LC with stock 18''s and 285/65/18 KO2?

This is exactly the reason I won't run slotted and drilled rotors. I know better from my track days. They are opportunities for stress risers, especially for a stressed part that sees potentially dramatic heat cycles, depending on use. Yet most general users never truly tax their brakes with hard stops from high speed, yet pronounce their upgraded brakes as "better". It's a strictly a styling feature. Racers that truly use brakes avoid this stuff.
Metallurgy is another hit or miss. A lot of the aftermarket stuff is low grade castings with marketing and branding. The good stuff comes for a price. This is another reason I do OEM when possible. You know the stuff is quality controlled and validated. When most people question stock brake performance, especially on a higher priced vehicle such as the LC, it's because its worn. Refreshing it with new stock parts, a good flush, will bring performance back.
I know this thread has aged quite a bit, but I'm replacing the brake calipers, pads, and rotors on my '08 TLC and am looking to upgrade for better braking. I read through this thread and understand that the 2016 TLC brakes are improved considerably. The quote above confused me though...Brian, are you referring to 2016 TLC or Tundra calipers? Are the 2016 TLC brake components direct bolt-on to the 2008 TLC? I have all the part numbers (thanks fellas), but don't want to order the parts to Hawaii only to find out they won't work. Thanks for the clarification.The 2016 caliper has changed its mounting bolts from an M12 to an M14. Unless the mounting holes in the forged knuckle are enlarged, it will not bolt on.
