Tuffy Center Console width? (1 Viewer)

Help Guys,

Which model fits the 78 FJ40? I see there is a 6 1/2" model, an 8" model, and looks like a model that has 8" stereo compartment AND a 6 1/2 main compartment. I want the stereo model, so is it the 8" model, or the "dual width" model.

6-ish" with stereo is what I got, no way an 8" would fit.

When I remove the old, stock, console or install the Tuffy console is it necessary to break the rear heater coolent lines apart?

Yes - if you go w/ the CCOT mount. You could cut a slot in it if you wish, but when was the last time you replaced those hoses???

I am running the 6.5 inch with aftermarket bucket seats and I have less than .5 inches of clearance between the seats and the console

I'm going with the Tuffy console that SOR sells. They also have a mount that fits to the stock seats. When removing the stock console, do I have to break the coolent lines?
