I've lurked here for years, but now I have a slight grinding noise that I cannot figure out. I don't think it's a knock, it's more of an intermittent grinding. I am hoping that it is a fan clutch bearing or the fan clutch bracket, I have not pulled the serpentine belt to see if it related to timing belt or not but that was redone by Toyota within the last 30,000 miles with OEM parts.
VIdeos below shows what is going on. Would like to know if it is worth pulling serpentine belt to see what's going on, it's been cold in Colorado this week hence why I have not tried. Truck is a 2000 Land Cruiser, that is about to turn 260K miles. I've owned it for four years and put about 35k miles on it during that time
