after waiting FOREVER! it's home now.

still smells like oz... ahh, the miles, the memories...

after driving it back from van, unloaded all the crap packed inside and drove it till the permit expired (well almost).

now it's inspection time, get BC plates and she's a DD.

just thought i'd share.

Nice, I have a local RCMP officer wanting one of those bad.

Now for the options, engine etc??

it came with a couple of things. i added the roof rack when i was down under.

2H, H41, FF, split case with the t-case e-brake, AC, 4.10's and looks like old lift springs of some unknown description. other than that it's just like my 42. and it's also an '84:grinpimp:

the crappy 31's have been replaced by some 33's.

the PO had removed two of the 4 rear seats, and made a "false floor" in the cargo area, was handy for camping and road tripping when you need to store all your junk, but i think i'll take that s*** out. the roof consol was a nice touch, it's home made, but nice and simple.

it needs PS, but i scored a RHD 60 series set up for it. it also needs a 5spd, but the same 60 series also "donated" a H55f and case.

i'm not going to tear into it just yet (i've got too much junk on the go right now) but a SOA is in the future.

so far so good, i like my HJ47.

Yup, she's a gem alright! ;p Nice and straight, clean, dry and no rot. What a concept!! Now if we can only get me a 7series Troopy we'll have a great little collection on the island.
Good find "R-Donks"!:flipoff2:
PS: by the way, when is our next island run??
Cheers!

Way cool ride Kirk.

Gonna bring to Oregon?

Sweet troopy! That thing is beautiful!:D

thanks scoot!

i have been wanting a truck like yours for some time now. it's not quite as clean as yours, but i think i found a good one.

enigma: i'm sure it will be just like every other 60/scout PS conversion on a 40 ... just on the other side;) from what i can tell, i'll have to change the 60 pitman out for something flat, don't think the 60 arm works SOA. but that's a ways off yet.

looks like i'll have plates/inspection and BC vin by wednesday! feels like it's x-mas in july!:grinpimp:

There are always exceptions to every generalization...hehe. :D

I simply love the 4* series look, and in a Troopy even more so. Good for you Crusty.

very nice find!:) i wish mine was that clean but then i probably would'nt want to wheel it. errr, no, i'd wheel it either way.

i'm supposed to be doing a ps conversion on a buddies 1984 hj47 in the next couple of months. he just iomported it from oz along with all the needed parts/ we'll see if it works.

bigbrowndog: is that a mastiff in your avitar? i miss mine......:frown:
