Ok so, a buddy and I made the trip to Idaho to do the Idaho BDR on our motos the end of this August... looped from near Boise to Canada Border. 8 days for 1200mi of BDR. We had a great time, pseudo trip report in the pics. Camped everyday but one night in a cabin with no power or water at Burgdorf hotsprings.

TL;DR - 2k slab/truck miles, 1690 moto miles, 1k+ in dirt, saw ~10 total vehicles on dirt, amazing scenery, no drama.

Beautiful!

Nice adventure.

Nice. Did a critter try to make a nest in the KTM with deer hair?

Nice!!!

yeah, it was goat hair, the only goats were at the hotsprings, we discovered that the next evening while checking on the field fix for the cooling fan.

nice! very pretty area. Jill and I are considering moving there for retirement.

lol, "there" is most of the state! My family is from Idaho, def some beautiful country.

So John, you took the "little" bike vs the "big" bike on this trip?

I only have the little one anymore. Sold the big Ktm to buy the husky. The little one is still 700cc. But 180# lighter

yes, we're considering most parts of the state.

I've been to SE Idaho several times and it doesn't look like that.

I agree with you. I only drove through SE Idaho to get to the places I wanted to be :)
