I painted my trim multiple times over the year, but ultimately, decided to delete it during the repaint. One of the best decisions I ever made regarding this build:

Do you have part numbers / paint codes to share, I just can’t seem to nail down which one I have but it’s the same as yours and when I try to use partsouq I get lost. Thanks so much!

Just finished up my rattle can resto. Looks good from about 5 feet. Definitely could’ve spent a lot more time sanding between coats, etc., but for a few hours work and less than $100, I’m really pleased!

I got the vinyl from High Quality Vehicle Wraps - https://www.vinylfrog.com/.

They have tons of diff vinyls.

the stuff i used is 3M di-noc.

The stuff is easy to work with, very flexible without heat. If you need to do complex shapes and contours than lightly use a heatgun. Be careful cuz you only need a little bit of heat as the stuff become very stretchy and soft quick (see the mesh doors on my stacker 830).

You dont need to use any heat for the keyboard, just take it apart, and take the grey plastic piece off and wrap it, put it on, than cut the most outter edges with an x-acto knife. The inner cuttings around the keys should be done b4 reinstalling into the keyboard.

Good luck

I just used some black wrap about a year ago, ties in the bumpers and sliders and was super cheap and super easy to apply.

I just sprayed it black with truck liner. Holding up well so far. Only did it to match the raw bumper covers when I replaced the damaged ones.

My contribution (not just the trim but the whole door cladding and factory step boards):

Did a single pass cutting polish, have a few more passes to go but mtb is life so until the next episode LolView attachment 2798870

All pictures showcasing only the passenger side, rest assured the driver side was equally done too
This looks great! What paint did you use? It’s time for me to do mine. Our rigs are nearly twins!

They are twins indeed! I used 2k base and 2k clear. We have a local paint supply shop in Vegas that preps one up in an aerosol can, ours is the 1F7 code, Duplicolor has one ready as well. Take your time, painting is 95% prep work and 5% actual shooting paint. Curing time is just over night.
