Any tips or tricks for removing the lower shock eye from the bottom post in the rear?
I'm throwing in my old OME 2721 springs to reduce ride height.
I got one side off easily, but can't get the other to budge.
I'm soaking in kroil, have tapped the steel flange with a ball peen, and used a plastic deadblow radially on the aluminum mount. I've pried, but am being careful to not damage the lower shock mount. It is soaking in Kroil now.
I used grease when I installed them, but corrosion always wins.
I'm avoiding flame unless absolutely necessary.
