so i haven’t seen anyone discuss this but.

if i park, put truck in H. then turn off the auto level, then shut the truck off. when i start it up it’ll stay in high until i hit 50mph.

Only time i turn mine off is after i put it in high before i adjust the tb's and rear sensor. I always turn it back on as soon as i'm done adjusting. Now i'm extremely curious.

I believe I remember an earlier post with someone else saying that they saw similar behavior, but no one else seemed to be able to duplicate his results.

I believe it was this thread:

My question would be... I remember AHC high not riding/handling all that well at speed, due to caster and droop, why would I want keep AHC in high at freeway speeds?

video 1
start / setup and driving. press h. while adjusting and raising shut off after it lifts completely. restart, still in H.

video 2
driving 20-45-ish

video 3
dropping to neutral at 50

why would I want keep AHC in high at freeway speeds?
Exactly my thought every time these threads pop up. I don't enjoy accelerating wear on my CVs and being a little extra "tippy" on the highway isn't exactly enjoyable either. 🤷

my previous truck was a mid travel tacoma with camper, armor and no sway bars so my expectations for handling are not the greatest. however being able to cruise in a mode that’s a bit more visually appealing around town is ok to me.

also none of this matters as i’m removing ahc next week.

You broke the matrix -but this whole exercise is worth it bc i got to watch the Suicide Slow vid.
lol. that whole period of s*** was so scary. i had just the year before completely tore my acl and mcl and partial lcl, tore my patella tendon and bucket handle meniscus tear. no surgery at that point and man did bikes scare me.

at least the ravensridge2 and whistler vid i could hold decent speed.

Crazy scary-I maybe would have tried it a looooooong time ago when i was riding Mongoose BMX and stoopid. Cheers- and if you wanna sell your AHC parts after the lift send me a PM.

Often when offroading I lift to high due to rocks, mud pits, etc, but then there is a flat section where I can easily drive at 30-40mph, followed by another section where I prefer I am in High. I hate to have to stop, rise to high again and drive. 🤷
I agree that it makes no sense on the highway.
