First off, let me apologize for dropping the ball here in the triad this past year. All of a sudden life got crazy hectic. So we're gonna pick back up this month at the cars and coffee event. This is at the Fresh Market on New Garden. A couple of us will get there a little early and get us a block of spaces for parking, arrival times between 8:30 and 9:30. We will hang out for a couple of hours and then grab lunch at 11:30. Should be a good time, hopefully we can get a few cruisers out there to add some class to this largely Ferrari and Porsche crowd. Every one is welcome to join us so come on out! Any one with questions feel free to ask.
 
I'm hoping to make this, but I'm not sure about adding class to anything since I'm missing my front bumper. ARB is sold and the custom one is in progress, but it's looking a little ugly/bulldog-ish right now.

Definitely try and make it if you can, and don't worry about your bumper, mine has a basketball sized dent right in the middle of it right now and I'm not even gonna get into all the paint peeling off the hood and fenders:hillbilly:. Just hangin out, talkin cruisers eyeballing a few triple digit sports cars then grabbing lunch.

If any moms/wives/kids plan on attending there is a general retail area with target, bed bath beyond, some chic botique, starbucks, 10000 vilages etc as well as a jungle joes bounce house for perusal if fancy cars arent your thing.

Sounds like you are talking to me. lol. Stacy is taking her CCP that day so I am doubtful but might give it a go. Would love to get back to our little lunches again on Hwy 66 if you guys wanna.

So, it sounds like if everyone adds up their missing parts, we'd have a whole FJ missing, correct? That reminds me of the Johnny Cash song "One Piece at a Time".

I'll probably make it to this and hopefully others in the future. Do I actually need to wash the truck? I'm still a month short of my truck's annual wash and wax... What's this about lunches on Hwy 66? In Kernersville?
 
I think Eric meant 68. There was never really a set schedule just kinda spur of the moment, but we should get together for lunch again soon. Next time something is in the works I will post it up so definitely try and make it if you can. I love that Johnny Cash song, reminds me of pretty much every cruiser I've owned.
 
I'll see if I can polish up the 40 a bit. Eric, you'll have to make it to this one since you missed the M&G.

I figured mentioning the nice (but still early) weather forecast for the coming Saturday as a reason to give this thread a bump. Partly sunny and a high around 60 = awesome. Friday will even be nice enough to perhaps toss soap on the 40 and knock some dust off the ole girl. Look forward to enjoying some java, cruiser chat, and seeing some other nice rides.

Not going to make it guys. Trying to put every effort I can into getting to the URE workday. I've been wanting to get to a workday but something always gets in the way. Maybe another time.
 
No problem Eric, the work days are more important. It was totally a oversight on my part when we scheduled this and for that I apologize to anyone that I offended with the scheduling conflict. By the time you brought it to my attention Ashley had already had flyers made with ONSC information to hand out at cars and coffee and I knew that I couldn't make it to URE that day so I just thought that I would go mainly to try and get the word out about the club to possibly some new people in a setting like cars and coffee which is pretty big in this area and if a few people in the area couldn't make the work day but had a couple hours to hang out Saturday morning to join in. I would like to say that if anyone is setting on the fence with the workday and the Cars and coffee to GO TO THE WORKDAY!!!!!! It is far more important.

On a side note.....

Darin I do not go on Facebook at all.My wife has an account and she posted the stuff about this weekend on there for me. The main reason was to try and get the word out here in the triad about ONSC for people that had cruisers that weren't members, not to try and get people that were already members to come to the triad meeting instead of the workday. In the future I will try my damnest to not create a scheduling conflict with a workday but in the odd chance that I do rather than go on facebook with inflammatory comments please just let me know through mud that I have and that it bothers you and I will gladly reschedule. I can assure you I do not want to get in the way with any progress that can be made at URE. Again, I apologize for causing the scheduling conflict to begin with, it was purely an unintentional oversight and I urge those of you who can to please go to the workday.
 
If my post would of been fully read before i took it down it said.

This is a free world and people can do what they want and when they want. The URE thing is a volunteer thing . I am not going to beg people to come work. If this was too much for a person to come to because of time constrants then this fits in better for them to still have something to do related to cruisers and good people.

Also, it was not just directed at you either, as it has been going on for awhile now. Meatballs sig says it all.

So, everyone that was going to go please do go to this.

Things are supposed to get started at 8:30 in the morning and last until 10:30, so I will get there around 8 and try and get a few spots blocked off kinda off the beaten path. If you were exiting the fresh market it would be towards the back left. The address is 1560 HighWoods Blvd, Greensboro.
