Transmission to transfer case bypass hose (2 Viewers)

My transmission was over full and my transfer case was low so I ordered one of Shipmag's transmission to transfer case bypass hose. Shipmag notified me of the shipping number and I tracked it the whole way, I receiver it 3 days after I ordered it. (I live in Oregon.). The hose is of very high quality and it was very easy to install. Shipmag was easy to work with.

What's the reason for installing the bypass hose?

is it functional or a fix for an underlying problem?

Seal leaks between T/T, gear oil is pumped from transfer into tranny, bypass hose lets it return back down to transfer.

Jackson, yes it is a a seal leak that I am to lazy to fix. Some day if I have to change out my clutch I will probably change the seal between transfer case and transmission.

Ive had one installed for a couple years now but my transfer is always low. I check it every couple months now.
