Transmission & T/ Case?

Hi guys, I am new in Ih8mud, and I am a proud new owner of a 73 FJ40, I am so exited about my new vehicle.
I have a question for all of you guys, is it possible to install a 4 speed tranny in a 3 speed, Can I install 4 in same motor?
Do I need to get a T/Case, too?
What about the bolt pattern in the motor the same for a 3 and 4 tranny?
Does anyone has a 4 speed for sell?
