Transmission Shifts When Cold

I recently did a complete fluid exchange on my 04 for the second time and, like the first, there was no real change in behavior. I can't tell if I'm losing my mind though.....level is 100% spot on via the check plug.

Do you feel the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts under low load low RPM shifts when the truck is cold? Under the above scenarios (shift point between 1.8-2.8k RPM), I can feel the truck shift. It's nothing concerning but I can feel it.

After the fluid reaches 140-160°F (based on my SG) the operation is smoother.

Just looking for feedback from others to confirm or deny my insanity.

Sound normal.

I use M1 MV full syn ATF, and did notice a big change after my first full flush (12qts). Before flushing I'd feel every shift hot or cold. Now I really don't notice any shift when at operating temp, and barley any when cold (on cold winter mornings).

What fluid did you use?
When I was researching the ATF it says to use a low viscosity ATF or shifting may be harsh while cold.
Mobil 1, Valvoline and Castrol all offer a low viscosity ATF for Toyota.
They all also offer "normal" Toyota ATF but our trucks require the low viscosity stuff.

I just did a full exchange on fluid that i think was mostly original (165). It looked like pond water. I was disappointed by the minimal change in shift feel. I think it is as you described it.
