Hi Guys,
Man the Transmission on my 2004 with 291,000 miles is failing. What should I do?
Toyota is saying it is on BackOrder.

try posting here in the classifieds:

Ordered one off Ebay. In addition to changing it out, any recommendations? The transmission I found has 145,000 miles. Replace all fluids, anything else? Thanks guys!

Flip the trans over on your workbench, pull the pan, replace the filter, reseal the pan. After you install and drive it a while, change the fluid again.

I'd personally replace the torque converter. This is the only time you're going to be this close to it.
