at 50% throttle shift very hard , some times shift fine , what my be wrong , some thing is wrong for sure my 08 gx shift like lexus .
this 14 lx is not ...
i did drain and fill trans fluid (4 qts ) with no effect .
any ideas ? trans program flash / update ?

In the winter if I pull out onto the highway before things have warmed up I will get a firm 1-2 shift if I get on it more than about half throttle. Doesn't seem to happen at other times.

Don't know your miles, but with a 14 it's probably in the 80k range so it wouldn't be huge money wasted to flush the fluid and see if fresh helps. The dealer may also be able to reset the ECT to see if relearning its calibration points would help (not sure on this part, though I think I've seen ECT reset as an option in Techstream).

My 2013 has a harder shift as well. I’m taking her to the dealer Before the warranty is up. I get a shudder shifting 1-2 at full throttle.
I’ll advise soon.

I'm having this same issue. Any news on your findings? I have a 1998.

Going in the 17th for recall work. I’ll have them check the trans as well.

Took her in for the recall. Informed them about the shifting and they did nothing. (Go figure)
As long as it was documented before the warranty was up is all I wanted.

somehow the 8-speed transmission sounds like a great upgrade now on the 16+
It’s a shift you can feel compared to the others. It’s not like a slip or hard hitting shift. I just wanted it at the least documented so if something happens down the road I have a leg to stand on.

Occasionally, my ‘18 will shift hard from 1-2, I think it mostly normal, sometimes happens when I do a “gliding” stop at a stop sign and give it some gas.

My ‘19 does this occasionally. It happens as you described. I’m not sure what gear it’s in when I’m “gliding” to a stop and then press on the gas peddle to lightly accelerate once the light changes before I need to fully stop. It’s a hard shift like it just missed a gear before finding the correct one. It’s totally smooth shifting soon afterwards. I will mention it at next service.

I get the gliding stop acceleration shift too. I thought this was abnormal but from the looks of things it looks normal?
