Getting parts gathered to do an LS swap in the wifes '60, and I ordered the transfer case adapter to go from a 4L80 to the factory T-case from Advanced Adapters in Oct. I was just informed I might get the piece in March....
Wanting to move this along, what case would be a good option here?

I guess I need to re-phrase the question. If I went with a different transfer case, one that bolts right to the 4L80 eliminating the need for the adapter, which one would be a good choice?

None unless its some type of custom transfer case that works with the offset rear axle in the landcruiser. Chime back in once you start bolting the t case onto the transmission you will see why once you start to do that. Also do you have the rear reluctor ring installed in the 4l80e for the second speed sensor or do you have another plan for that?

I know that they have adapters for 4L65E in stock, just got the adapters I ordered a while back.

My buddy used a np241from a 90s suburban in his 4runner to keep the passenger drop front output. You will need a centered rear axle, which his 4runner has, or else you might have a crooked rear driveshaft. Im pretty sure it was this one.

I gotta say, after using the advance adapter, i kind of wish i used a GM t case or something. The advance adapter kind of sucks

Rear reluctor is installed. I realize the rear is offset, thus limiting the cases that can be used, but not knowing if there is something else out there with an offset rear or if there is an aftermarket case made for this brought me to ask the question. A case of "You don't know what you don't know!" This is not my first LS swap in a 60 series BTW, but unlike the one in my avatar this one is getting an aluminum LS6 with forged internals and a 4l80E, not a stock 5.3-4l60E
